The My Own Cloud platform is a flexible managementslayer controlling our resources.

Ris Belgium manages servers in 5 datacenters in Europe.

Base technology is VMware and Xen hypervisors running on  Hewlett-Packard hardware. 

Ris Belgium invested back in 2009 in HP7000 Blade center systems direct coupled to HP SAN storage. Together with the HP DL3 80 servers of the 3th, 4th and 5th generation (G3,G4 and G5) these servers are the Cloud platform. 

The provisionningtools are the My Own DC Q-center managements software based on python and the well known OpenQrm German software.

This allows our Cloud customers even to integrate off load Amazon EC public cloud resources into their business critical solutions.
 

Own AS number - IP transit independent

Ris Belgium owns, together with Webservice (Diepenbeek, Belgium), a 100% linux hosting and sister company, a dedicated AS number.

This AS number leaves us free choice for the best carrier and the best connections troughout Europe and the rest of the world.
